the secret tunnel

In the heart of Labrador Park Nature Reserve, lies a series of secret tunnels. Guys, i've found a new place to explore the past and history of world war 2.

in we went into tunnels that reeked of kerosene.

the word here is 'store' and this tunnel is supposedly a storage area for their kerosene.

dark, and a little creepy. some claimed to have seen the unclean. fortunately i didnt.

some of the ammunition behind a lamp, that's suppose to represent the kerosene lamp they used in the past.
this place is so freaking cool, you have to check it out. google it or something. you have to visit it at least once in your lifetime. it's really one of Singapore's best kept secrets.

out of the blue

i've never met anything as out of the blue as ben.

seriously, ben is something so outrageous, that he should just be in 'Ripley's Believe it or Not'.

last week it was a motley crew gathering of kamil, faridah, ben and i - actually, ben was the motley crew, the rest of us were quite normal.

first we started out eating toast box. my idea of course.

then we shopped a bit. stress from work obviously led to some purchases out of impulse.

finally, ben revealed his blue colour.

we were exchanging our new company passes when suddenly, ben asked faridah.
"don't you wish you had an 'L' in your name?", as he looked at her SPH pass.

the rest of us stared at him, wondering why the hell he said that. faridah asked "why?"

ben answered, "well your last name is 'Saad'. If you had an 'L' in it, then it would make it 'Salad'!"

"WHAT?" the rest of us chuckled out of disbelieve and at his outrageous suggestion.

"ben, why the hell would faridah want to be called salad?" I asked.

"well, isn't it special to be called salad? I mean I had a classmate called vanilla, and everyone used to laugh and make fun of him." ben replied

"so faridah would want to be called salad so that everyone will laugh at her?" I retorted.

"erm, forget i said that!" ben shrugs, and shrinks into his seat. (I was sure he blushed at the same time)

ben, seriously, you're as random as ben. i doubt anyone can beat you to that. and you know what? maybe we should just give you a talk show - "Ben, believe him or not!"

so far, so good

it's been 2 weeks,

I've been scolded by a lunatic caller. I've been eating a lot of mooncakes, and I'll be surprised if I do not look like a moon.

I've been learning how to cope with the workload and mess on my workspace.

I've been good - so far.

On other thoughts,

the short but wonderful time i spent with yien and mari was unforgettable. to many more years of friendship and fun!
