Singapore Slingers vs West Sydney Razorbacks
the pictures are rather self-explanatory (you may have to click to enlarge the photos to get my idea)
We got some tickets to watch the Singapore Slingers play against the West Sydney Razorbacks at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. and this is the mascot for the Singapore Slingers. urgh!
so with a Merlion, where's all our Singaporeans??? I mean these ang mohs were wearing jerseys with 'Singapore Slingers' all over, and i soon found out that these are Australians and they only have 3 Singaporeans in the team, who happened to be sitting at the reserve bench - hmm...
well, being so close to the court, at the media/corporate booth, it was prestigious anyhow.
who cares if Singaporeans don't get to play on the team when you've got a cute player like Shane McDonald! (or number 7, that's what we call him)

so cute. and i guess you've probably figured that we were more interested in this dude rather than the scores.
and you can tell by the looks of this.
and then we've also noticed this booth right across the court. 'RateMyTurban.com' - seriously??? haha. and this particular sikh had this DIY hailer which he rolled out of a gigantic poster to yell at the West Sydney Razorbacks whenever they get to shoot a penalty, hoping to distract them. how weird.
oh and the Slinger girls were pretty. but the Nets dancers were much much better at performing.
the game went on for more than an hour. i was getting bored. the free Brewerkz food and snacks were not entertaining me anymore. and i started to look for something amusing... then realising that number 13 is called 'Rush' and i wondered why the referee is called 'Hummer'. hmm.
oh and this Harvey Norman blimp kept hovering around. its quite amusing though. there was this guy holding a remote control, manouvering it around. i wish i could have a go with it. haha
and that was my first experience at a professional basketball tournament. wow. it was amusing!
