when i grow up, i want to be just like...

While I was at 938LIVE, i wanted to be just like Deborah - professional, precise and almost always perfect.

She was so good at presenting, whether it was the news or an interview. I would listen to her voice on air every afternoon and just think of how soothing and lovely it was. Honestly, I would never liken anyone's talking voice to lovely, but Deborah's voice was just wonderful, like a dream.

Now I wish this was all just a dream. But if you haven't heard it on the news, Deborah passed away yesterday.

I remember how I was so shaken the afternoon I heard about Deborah's illness. I took over her Health Bites capsule while she was on MC. And that very afternoon, I happened to be recording my first ever radio capsule for broadcast. It was so difficult trying not to think about her and yet recording a health related capsule which was one of her fortes.

Now, she's probably taking a well-deserved rest and I'm happy for her.
